Harry London Chocolate Story

At the turn of the century, fine chocolate confections were associated with the Swiss or the Belgians. However, in Canton, Ohio a chocolatier named Gilbert London was teaching his son Harry the art of fine confections using traditional European methods and techniques from his own family recipes. Through the years Harry London learned the true art of making fine chocolate confections. He discovered that in a world where everything seemed to be the norm, chocolate making broke all the traditional rules. He learned that quality was more important than quantity. Chocolate he felt needs to be simple and pure, rich and complex and filled with blends that are subtle yet irresistible.

Over the years Harry began making his delicious delicacies for his friends as holiday gifts. His friends found his creations irresistible and his gifts were cherished. It would not take long before Harry was receiving request for his fine hand-made chocolate. In 1922, Harry a steelworker by trade decided to make chocolate his life’s work and left his job at the mill. Thus, Harry London Candies was born. From his humble beginnings, in a small home kitchen, this would be the beginning of where some of the finest chocolates in the world would be created. Through the years Harry has stuck to the family tradition and recipes, which are still held to the highest standards and uses only the finest and purest
